Hey, I'm a ferret owner, and I like ferrets so much that they were inspirational in building and naming the Ferret50. Therefore I feel that the furry snakey little critters deserve their own page.

Ferret bio:

My ferrets, Murry and Anne. Cute, furry with claws and teeth. Here is their routine, eat and sleep for 20 hours. Then run around and expend all that energy in just a couple of hours, then they can be held and petted.

Part of the weasel family, ferrets are tenacious and sometimes outright mean. But I cant help to admire their persistence in attaining a goal.

By having ferrets, our house is now child proof. It is hard to explain how a 2 to 4 lb animal can get to places a 3 year old can't, but they manage quite well.

All in all, I like my animals. That includes a cat my wife owns and my 90lb red Chow Chow, Calib. They remind me I am human, and that there is always time to relax. They seem to know when I am locked in deep thought and need a break. Sometimes they just drive me crazy.

Anne passed during surgery to have a tumor removed. Murry passed three months later from Lymphoma. We miss them very much.

We got Floyd from a ferret rescue and shelter home a couple weeks after Anne passed. Floyd is very passive due to his blindness, which made him a good companion for Murry. After Murry passed we went back to the shelter to get Jack, Floyd's cage mate at the shelter. Jack was very glad we came back for him.
